Tierra Colectiva's Community-Owned Cafe in Globeville at 4965 Washington

SEPTEMBER 2026 — As part of the 4965 Washington project, Tierra Colectiva Community Land Trust will own and steward a ground-floor community café and commercial kitchen. The larger development will include 170 affordable apartments and the Globeville branch of the Denver Public Library. Construction is currently underway, with completion anticipated in late 2027.

Tierra Colectiva is now seeking interested tenants to lease the commercial kitchen and help activate the community space. Interested businesses, organizations, and community-based operators can learn more and respond through the Request for Information (RFI).

The 4965 Washington project is a partnership between Evergreen Real Estate Group, Rocky Mountain Communities, Tierra Colectiva Community Land Trust, and the Denver Public Library.

This community commercial space would not be possible without significant partner support. We are grateful to The Colorado Health Foundation for its $6 million blended investment in the project, including funding for the commercial space, and to the Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA) and the Boettcher Foundation for supporting the commercial space build-out.
